Live pork prices today, August 4, in the Northern market, decrease slightly in some provinces compared to yesterday, in the range of VND 51,000-56,000 per kilogram.

Specifically, the live pork price is the North’s lowest of VND 51,000 in Tuyen Quang province.

In Thai Binh province, the live pork price continues to keep the highest at VND 56,000 per kilogram.

After reducing VND 2,000 per kilogram, the live pork price is VND 53,000 per kilogram in Yen Bai province.

The remaining provinces keep live pork prices at VND 54,000-55,000 per kilogram, unchanged compared to yesterday.

In North Central Coast and Central Highlands, live pork prices today have no change compared to yesterday, in the range of VND 53,000-56,000 per kilogram.

In Nghe An province, the live pork price is still at the highest of VND 56,000 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the lowest live pork price is in Quang Binh province, at VND 53,000 per kilogram.

The remaining provinces also keep live pork prices unchanged compared to yesterday, at VND 55,000 per kilogram, such as Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa provinces.

In the South, live pork prices move sideways in most provinces compared to yesterday, in the range of VND 52,000-53,000 per kilogram.

Traders in Bac Lieu and Dong Thap provinces, live pork prices are VND 52,000 and VND 53,000 per kilogram, respectively.

The lowest price is still recognized in most the provinces such as Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Soc Trang provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, at VND 52,000 per kilogram.

According Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dong Nai province, the province's total pork herd is nearly 2.5 million heads, up 11.6% over the same period in 2020. Currently, live pork prices are fluctuating, from VND 52,000 to 56,000 per kilogram depending on the localities, down by VND 10,000 compared to more than a month ago.

Many provinces remain live pork prices unchanged compared to yesterday, at VND 53,000 per kilogram.

Although African swine fever has been basically controlled, pork households are still afraid. They have not yet boldly re-herd, especially in the context of live pork prices is decreasing due to the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic.

White shrimp prices

But, for the size of 40 pieces, the white shrimp is VND 111,000-113,000 per kilogram, a decrease by VND 4,000 per kilogram.

For the size of 50 pieces, the white shrimp is VND 94,000-96,000 per kilogram, a decrease by VND 1,000 per kilogram.

For the size of 60 pieces, the white shrimp is VND 89,500-90,500 per kilogram, a decrease by VND 2,000 per kilogram.

For the size of 70 pieces, the white shrimp is VND 82,500-83,500 per kilogram, a decrease by VND 2,000 per kilogram.
