Live pork prices on July 31 in the Central and Central Highlands regions are flat compared to yesterday

Specifically, the lowest transaction level in the region was VND 59,000/kg, recorded in localities including Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.

The remaining provinces buy in the price range of VND 60,000 - 61,000/kg.

Thus, the price of live pork on 07/31/2023 in the Central and Central Highlands is buying around VND 59,000 - 61,000/kg.

Price of live pork in the South on July 31

Live pork prices on July 31 in the South remained stable compared to yesterday. 

Accordingly, Can Tho continue to purchase at the lowest prices in the region.

Traders in localities including Tra Vinh, Ben Tre and Soc Trang traded at VND 58,000/kg.

The remaining localities did not record new changes.

Thus, the price of live pork on 07/31/2023 in the South is trading in the range of VND 57,000 - 62,000/kg.

Ho Chi Minh City strengthens management of livestock and poultry slaughtering activities

To strengthen the management of livestock and poultry slaughtering activities in the area, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City has directed the veterinary force to join the interdisciplinary inspection team to stop controlling slaughter at manual slaughterhouses and only control industrial slaughterhouses.

At the same time, strengthen inspection of the illegal slaughter of livestock and poultry in the area. Thereby, ensuring food safety, bringing clean products to people, as well as ensuring urban environmental sanitation. 

Mr. Nguyen Huu Thiet - Deputy Head of the Sub-Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Ho Chi Minh City said that in the past year, 2022, the city's interdisciplinary inspection teams and districts have sanctioned 189 cases of violations on cattle and poultry slaughter with a fine of about VND 800 million.

The unit also sanctioned 7 cases of illegal livestock and poultry slaughter. In addition, Ho Chi Minh City also discovered 6,000 cases of abandonment of goods with about 2 tons of cattle, poultry and post-slaughter products.
