On December 10, Pun Coffee Company Limited (Huong Phung commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province) said that the contract to export a shipment of Khe Sanh Arabica coffee beans had just been successfully signed with TL Group LLC Company based in the US.
Accordingly, Pun Coffee Company Ltd. has agreed to supply 100% roasted and ground Arabica Khe Sanh coffee beans for the 2021-2022 season to TL Group LLC, with 2 tons.
TL Group LLC Company has the exclusive right to distribute Khe Sanh Arabica coffee supplied by Pun Coffee Company Limited throughout the US from December 1, 2021, to December 1, 2022.
Mrs. Luong Thi Ngoc Tram, Director of Pun Coffee Co., Ltd., said that getting the export contract of Khe Sanh Arabica coffee with American enterprises is a tireless negotiation process with TL Group. LLC.
Before that, Pun Coffee Company Ltd. sent many coffee samples to the US for evaluation. In addition, pun Coffee Co., Ltd. also designs the product's label at a partner's request.
"After nearly two years of hard work to pass strict quality inspection, the Arabica Khe Sanh coffee product of Pun Coffee Co., Ltd. will officially enter the US market in early 2022." Mrs. Tram said.
For Khe Sanh Arabica coffee to be exported to the US, from coffee planting to harvest, are all closely monitored by Pun Coffee Co., Ltd. After-harvest products must be dried on the floor, tested for pH, humidity... before being stored and packaged.
At the Vietnam Specialty Coffee Contest 2021, organized by the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association, Pun Coffee Co., Ltd won the first prize in the Arabica coffee category and the second prize in Quang Tri province's specialty coffee group category.
Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province, is one of the key areas for growing Arabica coffee in Vietnam, with about 4,500 hectares, of which mainly Arabica varieties. This locality is famous at home and abroad for its Arabica Khe Sanh coffee brand.
Currently, Khe Sanh Arabica coffee product has been granted a certificate of protection by the National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) of the collective mark "Khe Sanh".
Quang Tri is one of eight provinces selected by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to develop specialty coffee under the Project on Development of Vietnamese Specialty Coffee in the 2021-2030 period. In which Huong Phung commune, Huong Hoa district was selected to develop specialty coffee, with a total coffee area of about 60 hectares, with an output of about 20 tonnes per year.
