Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien emphasized that environmental protection and afforestation are strategic solutions for responding to climate change, ensuring water security, and developing a green and circular economy.

Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien affirmed that the "For a Green Viet Nam" tree-planting program is more than just a response to an environmental movement; it is a practical action contributing to the national commitment of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. He stated that each tree planted today signifies a green commitment and a responsibility for the environment, livelihoods, and the future of subsequent generations.

Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien called on every citizen, organization, and business to start with a small action: planting and protecting a tree, contributing to a green planet and to the nation's prosperity and sustainability.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Deputy Minister expressed gratitude for the support of local authorities, businesses, and people nationwide. He also affirmed that the Ministry will continue to coordinate closely to expand the tree-planting movement across the country, building a green, clean, and sustainable Viet Nam.

Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, praised the significance of the "For a Green Viet Nam" Program. He noted that the program demonstrates society's determination to realize national commitments on sustainable development, emissions reduction, nature conservation, and climate change adaptation.

To ensure the 2025 "For a Green Viet Nam" Program has a widespread and deep impact, Mr. Dinh Cong Su proposed that all levels, sectors, and localities in Phu Tho Province must define this as a regular political task. This task, he said, should be linked to socio-economic development targets, urban planning, and advanced new rural development. He urged agencies, units, schools, and businesses to actively respond to the tree-planting movement, build clean and beautiful landscapes, and connect environmental protection with creating healthy working, learning, and living environments.

He called for mass organizations, especially the Youth Union, Women's Union, and Veterans' Association, to play a core role in propaganda and mobilizing people to change their behaviors and form habits of green living and green consumption. "Each resident of Phu Tho should start with small actions: Plant a tree, do not litter, use electricity and water sparingly, limit plastic bags, and contribute to making the ancestral homeland greener, cleaner, and more beautiful," Mr. Su added.
