On February 7, representatives of Japfa Group and Vaksindo Vietnam Animal Health Co., Ltd welcomed Mr. Phung Duc Tien - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Director of Veterinary Department and heads of Department of Animal Health paid a visit and observed the project of Veterinary Vaccine Production Factory in Yen My II Industrial Park, Yen My District, Hung Yen Province.

At the meeting, Dr. Teguh Prajitno - Director of the vaccine factory in Indonesia cum Director of the vaccine factory in Vietnam thanked the leaders of the Ministry and Department of Animal Health for creating favorable conditions for the construction of veterinary vaccines production plant in Vietnam on behalf of the company. With modern equipment and technology, when put into operation, the factory is expected to produce a variety of vital vaccines in disease prevention such as AI, PRRS, CSF, FMD, etc.

“Having Japfa’s system of swine and poultry farms across the country, Vaksindo factory has an important meaning in researching and producing suitable vaccines, ensuring disease safety for livestock farms, enhancing food safety and contributing to the development of Vietnam's agricultural economy", emphasized Mr. Teguh.

This investment of Japfa Group represents a long-term vision of building disease-free areas towards the goal of exporting livestock products.

Directly observing the process, Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien highly appreciated Vaksindo Vietnam's efforts to complete the project. According to him, using vaccines on livestock is one of the most effective disease prevention measures, hence the vaccine factory investment is in accordance with the policy of the Party and State. Therefore, the Ministry will direct Department of Animal Health to accompany businesses during the progress of project construction as well as production activities. This investment of Japfa Group represents a long-term vision of building disease-free areas towards the goal of exporting livestock products.

With an investment of over 30 million USD, Vaksindo Vietnam factory has been the largest project capacity in Vietnam up to now. Groundbreaking since the beginning of 2022, the factory is now finalizing some last items that follow GMP-WHO standards to be able to put into operation.

The project is designed under the advice and supervision of German and Japanese experts, ensuring strict biosecurity for humans and the environment. In addition, Vaksindo Vietnam also uses advanced core technology to produce vaccines which are consulted and applied from renown supplier groups worldwide.
