Latest Arabica and Robusta Prices on January 9, 2025
Global coffee prices saw a sharp decline on both the London and New York exchanges on January 9.
Experts attribute this drop to several factors:
Sucafina predicted that coffee shipments would peak between January and February, decline in March, and end in April.
Compared to the previous harvest, the 2024/25 season is expected to see a 1% decline in production in the region, with Honduras and Guatemala facing the most significant decreases.
The total production from Central America and Mexico is forecasted to reach only 17 million bags, marking the lowest level in nine years.
This decline is mainly due to drought conditions in the first half of 2024, which impacted flowering in key regions of Honduras and Guatemala. However, optimistic forecasts exist for Mexico, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.
Thus, global coffee prices on January 9, 2025, declined significantly compared to the previous day.
In the domestic market, coffee prices also decreased compared to the previous day.
In Lam Dong province, Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts are all trading at VND 120,000/kg.
