Global coffee prices remained stable today. Summarizing this week, the market saw mixed movements with increases on the London exchange and continued declines on the New York exchange.

Specifically, Robusta prices for March 2025 delivery increased by $15/ton, while Arabica prices for March 2025 delivery fell by 4 cents/lb.

It is evident that Arabica coffee on the New York exchange experienced its second consecutive week of decline, reaching a 4-week low. The decline is attributed to reduced concerns over drought in Brazil after the country's key Arabica coffee-growing regions recorded above-average rainfall last week.

Additionally, the weakening Brazilian Real against the USD has encouraged increased selling activities in Brazil.

Beyond Brazil, the world's second-largest coffee-consuming market after the United States, other coffee markets have emerged recently, primarily in coffee-producing countries.

Countries like China, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam have seen significant increases in domestic coffee consumption alongside the development of value-added products and exports.

Thus, on January 5, 2025, global coffee prices showed no new changes compared to yesterday.
