Global coffee prices today continue to rise slightly on both exchanges before early closures for Christmas.

The price of Robusta continues to be supported by reports of heavy rainfall in key coffee-growing regions of Vietnam. Prices on the London exchange have maintained a steady increase since the start of the week.

Vietnam's coffee supply is facing challenges. The VICOFA Association reports that export businesses are also facing difficulties with orders.

It is expected that coffee prices may adjust in the near future but are unlikely to drop significantly. In the long term, several factors are expected to support prices, as supply and demand are not yet balanced.

Additionally, in the long run, this agricultural product's prices are supported by factors such as high shipping costs, geopolitical tensions, and reduced yields due to climate change.

Thus, global coffee prices on December 25, 2024, have increased across the board compared to yesterday.
