The conference attracted the attention and participation of delegates and researchers from the College of Agriculture (Can Tho University), Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, Tay Nguyen University, and the Plant Protection Institute.
Under the theme “Applications of biological protection in climate-resilient agriculture,” the delegates and researchers discussed and shared insights on topics including: environmentally friendly plant protection solutions; biotechnology in plant protection; soil health; breeding crop varieties resistant to pests and adaptable to climate change; advanced techniques for detecting, monitoring, and managing crop pests; integrated crop health management; and bioproducts in agriculture.
The conference recorded 36 registered presentations. Following the presentation sessions, delegates will visit agricultural sites in the field and later engage in joint discussions to establish networks and connections among stakeholders, providing guidance for the future development of agricultural production.

According to the Organizing Committee, the workshop is part of the series of events celebrating the 60th anniversary of Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry. It serves as a forum to exchange knowledge, research findings, and practical experiences on global biological protection, while also providing an opportunity for researchers to share studies and applications related to the biological control of crop pests, achievements in sustainable agricultural production, and climate change adaptation.
The workshop will run until August 30. Previously, in July 2023, the first International Conference on Biological Protection in Sustainable Agriculture was held at Can Tho University.
