The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) has recently approved the results of the national-level evaluation and ranking for the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in 2024 (Phase 2).
As part of this, Bac Kan province has had three products from Bac Ha Curcumin Joint Stock Company (located in Bac Kan City) awarded the prestigious 5-star OCOP certification. These products include: Vicumax Limited Nano Curcumin, Vicumax Nano Curcumin, and Vicumax Honey Nano Curcumin.
These products are crafted using yellow turmeric, a crop that is widely cultivated in Bac Kan. They are manufactured in factories that meet GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards, and are deeply connected with the local areas known for their unique medicinal plant resources. Additionally, these products reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region.
With this recent recognition, Bac Kan now has a total of four 5-star OCOP products at the national level, including the three from Bac Ha curcumin and Tai Hoan vermicelli from the Tai Hoan Cooperative in Na Ri District. The Tai Hoan vermicelli has already been successfully exported to European markets for several years.
