Delivering the opening speech, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang stated that Viet Nam Foodexpo is the most prominent trade promotion activity in the food industry and is regarded as the national forum of Viet Nam’s food industry. The exhibition will introduce hundreds of enterprises with thousands of Vietnamese brands and key agricultural and food products, alongside the culinary quintessence of the world as well as the most modern and advanced food processing machinery and technologies.

After more than a decade of accompanying businesses, Viet Nam Foodexpo has become a prestigious meeting point for Viet Nam's food industry, attracting thousands of domestic and international enterprises. With professional investment, the exhibition helps businesses promote their brands, expand import–export markets, and foster effective business collaborations.

Amid the global shift toward a green economy, circular economy, and sustainable consumption, Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang noted that during the 2026–2030 period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will launch a large-scale program titled "Promoting the Application of Science and Technology in Sustainable Production and Consumption."

The program aims to develop green products, strengthen green criteria, and accelerate circular economy practices in potential sectors, industries, and localities. Its objectives are to minimize and optimize input materials, enhance production efficiency, and foster international cooperation, while supporting enterprises, particularly small and micro businesses undergoing production transformation, in researching and producing greener products and accessing green financial sources.

The enterprises and cooperatives selected to participate in this stall are engaged in ecological, natural, and sustainable rice and shrimp production, with a focus on emission reduction and environmental protection, and align with Viet Nam’s international commitments to green agricultural product development. "Our goal is to help enterprises and cooperatives strengthen value chain linkages, develop sustainable consumption markets, and spread responsible agricultural production models with high added value," said Mr. Nguyen Le Nhat Thanh.

The representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade affirmed that Viet Nam Foodexpo 2025 is one of the key activities in realizing Viet Nam's sustainable development strategy for the food industry. The exhibition not only provides enterprises with opportunities to access technologies and products aligned with new consumption trends but also expands the space for trade promotion, partner meetings, brand promotion, and market expansion.
