Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Trinh, Vice Chairwoman of Krong Pak District People's Committee (Dak Lak) on March 15 said the National Office of Intellectual Property under the Ministry of Science and Technology has granted a certificate of trademark registration-the “KRONG PAC DURIAN SẦU RIÊNG KRÔNG PĂC” for durian grown in Krong Pac district.
Accordingly, the Trademark Registration Certificate was issued on March 8, 2022, valid for 10 years from the date of issue (can be extended). The certificate holder is Krong Pac District Farmers' Association based in Phuoc An town, Krong Pac district. The brand image’s colors include green, light yellow, dark yellow, and black.

“The certificate will be attached to fruit product quality which is fragrant, delicious, safe, and can be traced all the way from the orchard to market consumption. Thanks to that, the value of durian fruit in Krong Pac district will be enhanced, contributing to bringing great economic benefits to the locality and its farmers," Trinh added.

To help durian develop, Krong Pac District People's Committee in recent years has boosted to grow durian in a sustainable way and improve product quality. Currently, the district has nearly 600ha of durian having been granted VietGAP Certificate, 730ha of durian having been granted a planting area code by the Plant Protection Department (MARD). Durian trees have brought many economic benefits to local people and made Krong Pac become the largest durian growing area in Dak Lak province.
