During the discussion, Minister Le Minh Hoan highlighted that Vietnam and the Netherlands had a positive cooperation relationship in a variety of areas, including agriculture. The Netherlands has carried out several practical and significant initiatives, including the clean water project in the Mekong Delta region.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also thanked the Dutch specialists for their support in advising on the strategic vision for the Mekong Delta, one of Vietnam's primary rice baskets experiencing several problems from climate change. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's leadership anticipates that agricultural cooperation between Vietnam and the Netherlands will deepen and expand in the coming years.

The Netherlands is also prepared to assist Vietnam in meeting its strategic objectives and become a major agricultural exporter in the region and worldwide.

The Minister of Nature and Nitrogen Policy hopes that cooperation between the two sides will become more active in a variety of areas, including assisting the Mekong Delta in maintaining its status as a quality rice basket, developing logistics connectivity systems, and developing the agricultural sector, with the goal of making the Mekong Delta a regional center while also protecting ecological issues, biodiversity, and the environment.
