According to the Agency of Foreign Trade (Ministry of Industry and Trade), it is estimated that in February, tea exports reached 8 thousand tons, worth $ 14 million, an increase of 18% in volume and 22% in value compared to February 2023.

In the first 2 months of 2024, tea exports are estimated to reach 20 thousand tons, worth $35 million, up 50.9% in volume and 53.5% in value compared to the same period in 2023. In the first 2 months of 2024, the average export price of tea is estimated to reach $1,699/ton, up 1.7% over the same period in 2023.

Tea exports to major markets increased significantly at the beginning of this year. During the 2 months, tea exports to the Pakistani market reached 4.6 thousand tons, worth $ 9.2 million, up 33% in volume and 53% in value compared to January 2023.

Additionally, tea exports to the Taiwan market reached 928 tons, worth $ 1.4 million, an increase of 86% in volume and an increase of 87% in value; tea exports to the US reached 913 tons, worth $1.2 million, an increase of 191% in volume and 145% in value; tea exports to China reached 701 tons, worth $1 million, an increase of 412% in volume and 145% in value...

The average price of tea exported to major markets increases and decreases inconsistently, while the average price of tea exported to the markets of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Taiwan increased, the average price of tea exported to the markets of China, Malaysia, Indonesia... decreased sharply.

The lowest average export price of tea is to the Malaysian market at $684.5/ton, which decreased by 13% and the highest average export price of tea was to the Saudi Arabian market reaching $ 2,546/ton, an increase of 7.6% compared to January 2023.
