After merging with Long An, Tay Ninh has become one of the largest provinces bordering Ho Chi Minh City. It is served by a well-established transport network, including National Highways 1, 22, and 50, as well as key expressways such as Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong and Ben Luc - Long Thanh.

Tay Ninh holds a rare advantage in regional connectivity. Strategically located at the “economic crossroads,” the province links the Southeast, the Mekong Delta, and Cambodia. Despite bordering Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh offers more competitive land prices and ample land reserves, making it favorable for developing industrial parks and warehouses. With more than 368 km of borderlines, the province also has significant potential to expand cross-border logistics.
The province has planned industrial zones and clusters along major transport corridors such as DT827E, Ring Road 3, and the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway, attracting strong capital flows into warehousing and distribution centers. Logistics infrastructure, including cold storage, inland ports, and goods coordination hubs, is also being synchronously developed.
In the near future, a series of key projects, Ring Road 3, Ring Road 4, the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway, DT823D, and the expansion of DT789, will form an integrated transport network, creating momentum for industrial and logistics growth.
Ms. Nguyen Kim Hau, Director of Seaspimex Vietnam Joint Stock Company, shared that the company is preparing to invest in Tay Ninh. With more than 40 years of development, Seaspimex has built a wide range of canned products for the domestic market, such as sardines, herring in tomato sauce, and tuna in oil. The company has also expanded its export markets to several countries in Africa, the United States, Europe, and Asia. However, Seaspimex has not yet had the opportunity to export to Cambodia.
According to Ms. Hau, a major advantage in Vietnam - Cambodia cooperation lies in the convenient road transport system, which helps shorten delivery times. Seaspimex hopes to find suitable partners to bring its products to Cambodia in the near future. Still, the company faces a significant challenge as logistics costs remain relatively high.
“We hope the Government will introduce more practical support policies for the logistics sector, such as reducing fuel costs and supporting tax exemptions for imported machinery and transport equipment. This would help businesses lower production costs, enhance competitiveness, and expand their markets,” Ms. Hau emphasized.

Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Vy, Member of the Board of Directors and Deputy General Director of Long An International Port JSC, emphasized that Vietnam and Cambodia are neighboring countries with a long-standing friendship and traditional ties. Over the years, the two sides have signed numerous important agreements, laying the foundation for comprehensive cooperation. In particular, economic and trade relations between the two nations have been expanding, serving as a driving force for stronger goods connectivity and commercial exchange.
She noted that Long An International Port is a large-scale logistics complex, comprising a seaport, industrial park, service area, and urban zone, planned on a total area of 1,935 hectares. The port aims to become an integrated logistics hub, linking the Mekong Delta and Southeast region while promoting Vietnam’s international trade.
“We expect that, with its current role and capabilities, Long An International Port will become an important connection point, facilitating trade between Vietnam and Cambodia. Especially as transport infrastructure and bilateral cooperation policies continue to improve, we believe this will provide a strong foundation for even greater development in the future,” shared Ms. Vy.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, Tay Ninh and Cambodia have complementary advantages for agricultural trade cooperation. Tay Ninh boasts high-tech agriculture, particularly key products such as mango, soursop, durian, rubber, and clean vegetables meeting VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards. Meanwhile, Cambodia is strong in rice, cashews, bananas, tropical fruits, and abundant raw materials. The connection through international border gates and increasingly developed logistics infrastructure facilitates exchange, creating a closed supply chain from production to processing and consumption, expanding markets into ASEAN and further to China and the EU. This presents an opportunity to enhance the value of agricultural products, meeting domestic demand while promoting sustainable exports.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, added that in 2024, trade between Tay Ninh and Cambodia reached nearly USD 1.6 billion and has now surpassed USD 2 billion, marking a 17% increase compared to the same period. Tay Ninh currently has 46 industrial parks and 50 industrial clusters with over 1,000 hectares of clean land, along with 14 logistics centers under planning.
With an expected economic scale of over VND 352,000 billion in 2025 and a growth rate of 9.3%, Tay Ninh ranks among the top 10 provinces with the largest economies in Vietnam. “The province is committed to providing the most favorable conditions in infrastructure, land, workforce, and investment environment to ensure long-term business cooperation. This will serve as a foundation to further strengthen sustainable and effective Vietnam - Cambodia trade relations,” emphasized Mr. Thanh.
Alongside growing trade between Vietnam and Cambodia, Tay Ninh has attracted over 1,900 FDI projects with total registered capital exceeding USD 24.3 billion. China leads with nearly 1,000 projects totaling almost USD 10 billion, followed by South Korea with over 270 projects and more than USD 2 billion in registered capital. This provides a strong foundation for Tay Ninh to continue expanding cooperation, improving the quality and scale of investment projects, gradually forming global production and supply chains, and affirming its position as a strategic destination for international investors.

The Tay Ninh People’s Committee has launched its Investment Promotion Program for the final months of 2025, considering it a key task to sustain growth and enhance competitiveness, especially following the province’s administrative merger.
Tay Ninh will prioritize attracting projects in high-tech industries, supporting industries, semiconductors, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, logistics, trade, finance, and tourism. The province also emphasizes linking FDI with domestic enterprises to increase value and integrate more deeply into global supply chains.
The goal is to create a competitive investment environment, promote green growth, strengthen economic autonomy and competitiveness, while ensuring national defense and security. Tay Ninh aims to maintain its PCI and DDCI rankings among the top provinces nationwide.
In the coming period, the province will implement 16 investment promotion activities across nine main areas, including market research, upgrading the digital portal, publishing multilingual materials, participating in promotional events, and organizing business meetings and dialogue sessions. Notably, Tay Ninh will dispatch investment promotion delegations to key countries and regions such as Japan, South Korea, Australia, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Europe.

This diplomatic activity aims to showcase the province’s potential and strengths, expand international cooperation, and contribute to the Party and State’s policy of comprehensive integration and development.
With its strategic location, transport infrastructure, and investment-friendly policies, Tay Ninh reaffirms its commitment to becoming an international logistics hub. The year-end 2025 Investment Promotion Program is expected to drive further breakthroughs, positioning Tay Ninh as a safe, friendly, and attractive destination, contributing to the achievement of the province’s 2025 socio-economic development goals and laying the foundation for the next phase of growth.
