Rice prices on October 31 domestically

On October 31, 2024, the rice market experienced mixed changes. Specifically:

  • Long An sticky rice (dried) ranged from VND 9,800 to 10,000/kg; Long An IR 4625 sticky rice (dried) was priced at VND 9,600 to 9,800/kg.
  • IR 50404 paddy was around VND 6,800 to 7,000/kg (up by VND 100); Dai Thom 8 paddy remained steady at VND 7,800 to 8,000/kg.
  • OM 5451 paddy traded at VND 7,200 to 7,500/kg; OM 18 paddy was also at VND 7,200 to 7,500/kg.
  • OM 380 paddy held around VND 7,000 to 7,200/kg; Japanese paddy was steady at VND 7,800 to 8,000/kg.
  • Nang Nhen paddy (dried) traded at VND 20,000/kg; while Nang Hoa 9 remained priced at VND 6,900 to 7,000/kg.

Meanwhile, the rice prices on October 31 fluctuated between VND 50 and VND 150.

  • IR 504 summer-autumn rice ranged from VND 10,550 to 10,700/kg (up by VND 50 to VND 100); processed IR 504 rice was priced at VND 12,550 to VND 12,650/kg (down by VND 50).
  • Sticky rice ranged from VND 18,000 to VND 22,000/kg; common rice was priced at VND 15,000 to VND 16,000/kg; Nang Nhen rice was at VND 28,000/kg.
  • Thai fragrant long-grain rice ranged from VND 20,000 to VND 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice was priced at VND 18,000 to VND 20,000/kg; Huong Lai rice remained at VND 23,000/kg.
  • Common white rice was purchased at VND 17,500/kg; Nang Hoa rice was at VND 21,500/kg; Sóc common rice maintained at VND 18,000 to VND 18,500/kg; while Soc Thai rice was at VND 21,000/kg.
  • Taiwanese fragrant rice was priced at VND 21,000/kg; Japanese rice remained at VND 22,000/kg.
  • Lastly, OM 5451 broken rice was priced at VND 9,400 to VND 9,600/kg, and dry bran was at VND 6,200 to VND 6,400/kg (up by VND 100 to VND 150).

On the export market, the price of 100% broken rice is at $ 427/ton (down by $ 5); standard 5% broken rice is being purchased at 524 USD/ton (down by $ 7). Meanwhile, the price of 25% broken rice is at $ 497/ton (down by $ 6).

Thus, rice prices on 10/31/2024, have shown slight fluctuations compared to yesterday.
