Phu Rieng Rubber Company Limited always holds the top rank of VRG

(VAN) Over the past 45 years, Phu Rieng Rubber Company Limited has always been top in many aspects of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG).

On September 6, Phu Rieng Rubber Company Limited ('Phu Rieng Rubber') held a ceremony to celebrate its 45th founding anniversary.

Phu Rieng Rubber was established under Decision No. 318/QD-NN of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to implement the Agreement on "Cooperation in the production and processing of natural rubber with a scale of 50,000 hectares" between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. This is a key project of the State, with extremely important economic, political, social, security, defense, and international relations significance.

After 45 years of construction and development, the Company has become one of the major enterprises of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG) and Binh Phuoc province.

In recent years, Phu Rieng Rubber has been one of the top units of VRG in terms of production and business activities, well-performing obligations to the State, and improving income and living standards for workers.

The Company currently manages more than 19,800 hectares of land, in which more than 19,000 ha of rubber and nearly 11,000 ha of rubber business are located in 5 districts and towns of Binh Phuoc province, including Phu Rieng, Bu Dang, Bu Gia Map, Dong Phu, Phuoc Long and Tuy Duc district, Dak Nong province.

Speaking congratulation, Mrs. Tran Tue Hien - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, excitedly said: "More than a century since the rubber tree was planted in Binh Phuoc, the rubber industry has developed very strongly and formed large specialized cultivation areas. Currently, Binh Phuoc ranks first in the country in terms of the area of rubber trees, with more than 240,000 hectares, and has become a critical industrial tree of the locality.

Phu Rieng Rubber has 11 farms, 1 forestry farm, 2 rubber latex processing factories, a 100-bed General Hospital, a Cultural - Sports Center, and a water supply branch. The Company has 11 professional departments and an Industrial Park Management Board.

In addition, the Company also has 2 subsidiaries and 6 affiliated companies, with a total of more than 5,000 employees. With its potential, Phu Rieng Rubber Company Limited has contributed significantly to the strong development of Vietnam's rubber industry and local development.

In the period 2002-2022, the annual exploitation output of Phu Rieng Rubber Company will reach 24,000-28,000 tons, exceeding the group's plan by 7-10%. Garden productivity also increased nearly 2.2 times. Phu Rieng is one of the few companies with 16 consecutive years in VRG's "2 Ton Club". New planting, replanting, and garden care are always well-implemented. For many consecutive years, it has been a top unit in VRG.

The Company always focuses on management innovation, with depth and effective application of quality and environmental management systems according to ISO 9001 and 14001 standards. From 2019 to the present, the Company has been certified by the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) for 4 consecutive years as one of Vietnam's top 100 sustainable development enterprises.

Phu Rieng Rubber has obtained the certificate of sustainable forest management according to national and international standards. In particular, in 2021, the Company has completed the issuance of sustainable forest management certificates for the entire rubber forest area eligible for certification that the Company manages, with over 17,300 hectares and a chain of practice certificate. The life of workers in the Company is also increasingly improved. The unit has the highest average annual income of the Group, reaching VND 12 million/person/month. The infrastructure system serving production and business is well invested. It has been basically completed to serve production and improve the quality of life of workers and people in the region, contributing to building new rural areas in the locality.

"The Company's annual rubber production and consumption reaches 33,000-36,000 tons. Self-exploited rubber is 24,000-28,000 tons, and purchased rubber is 8,000-12,000 tons. Product quality is good, meets all customer needs, and is a strong brand at home and abroad. Annual revenue reaches more than VND 1,300-1,800 billion; profit exceeds VND 300-600 billion; annual budget contribution from more than VND 130-200 billion," said Le Tien Vuong.

The achievements and contributions of Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company during the 45-year journey of establishment, construction, and development have been recognized and awarded many times by the Party, State, and Vietnam Rubber Industry Group.
