Global pepper prices today remain stable. In its March report, Harris Spice stated that although the harvest has begun in most regions of Vietnam, the volume of goods entering the market remains low, which supports current price levels.

In addition, demand from traders and speculators has also influenced the market, while buyers are currently showing a highly cautious approach.

This year, the pepper harvest in Vietnam is about a month behind schedule due to unseasonal rains at the beginning of the month. Although production is forecasted to be fairly positive in the Central Highlands provinces, farmers are holding back their stocks thanks to strong coffee prices this year, which enhances their tendency to hoard.
