The price of Kuching ASTA black pepper in Malaysia is steady at $ 7,500/ton, and the price of ASTA white pepper in Malaysia is $ 8,800/ton.
In Brazil, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper remains at $ 7,150/ton.
In Vietnam, the export price of 500 g/l black pepper is trading at $ 6,000/ton, and 550 g/l black pepper is at $ 6,600/ton. The export price of white pepper remains at $ 8,800/ton.
World pepper prices today remain unchanged. This past week, only the pepper market in Indonesia saw an increase.
Thus, the global pepper prices on 07/15/2024, remain unchanged from yesterday.
Domestically, the pepper market on July 15 is steady compared to yesterday.
Specifically, Dak Lak continues to purchase pepper at VND 150,000/kg.
The price of pepper in Dak Nong remains at VND 151,000/kg.
Similarly, Gia Lai is still buying pepper at VND 150,000/kg.
In Dong Nai, traders are transacting pepper at VND 150,000/kg.
The price of pepper in Ba Ria - Vung Tau is holding at VND 151,000/kg.
Traders in Binh Phuoc are also buying pepper at VND 150,000/kg.
Domestic pepper prices today remain unchanged, with the highest level at VND 151,000/kg. Over the past week, the domestic pepper market has decreased significantly by VND 3,000 - 6,000/kg.
According to VSPA statistics, as of the end of June, Vietnam has exported 142,586 tons of pepper, a decrease of 6.8% in volume but an increase of 30.5% in value.
Of this, the export volume of black pepper reached 125,959 tons, while white pepper reached 16,627 tons. The total export value of pepper amounted to $ 634.2 million, with black pepper accounting for $ 539.9 million and white pepper for $ 94.3 million.
In the first six months of 2024, the US was the largest export market for Vietnamese pepper, with a volume of 37,435 tons, up 44.6% compared to the same period last year, accounting for 26.3% of the market share. This was followed by Germany with 9,526 tons (up 106.7%); UAE with 8,388 tons (up 15.2%); India with 8,173 tons (up 45.7%); China with 7,453 tons (down 85.2%); and the Netherlands with 6,019 tons (up 52.1%).
Meanwhile, Vietnam imported up to 18,002 tons of various types of pepper. Of this, black pepper accounted for 16,357 tons, and white pepper for 1,645 tons. The total import value of pepper reached $ 69.6 million, an increase of 18.9% compared to the same period last year.
