Mr Le Van Thiet, Deputy Director of the Plant Protection Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, emphasized: "Along with the strong and extensive trend of integration across various sectors, including fertilizers, pesticides, and industrial chemicals for agriculture, Vietnam's agricultural industry is always a focus of attention and development from the Ministry and relevant agencies. AgroChemEx Vietnam-2024 is a great opportunity for managers and businesses to exchange and collaborate towards a green, clean, safe, and sustainable agriculture and industry."

According to Mr Thiet, the Vietnamese plant protection industry is currently undergoing a strong transition towards green and sustainable development, with the proportion of biopesticides in the total amount of pesticides used in Vietnam increasing from 16.67% (in 2021) to 18.49% (in 2022). Many domestic and foreign enterprises are also investing in research, production, and business of biopesticides, contributing to diversifying the supply sources and improving the quality of products.

Mr Nguyen Van Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Pesticide Association (VIPA), also stated that following the success of previous exhibitions, AgroChemEx Vietnam 2024 will be a professional gathering with new innovations and strong connections among Vietnamese and international businesses. This is also an opportunity for enterprises and experts in the industry to cooperate, share technology, advance techniques, and seek market expansion, thereby promoting the efficient and sustainable development of Vietnam's agricultural sector.

According to Mr. Guo Wei, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA), countries in the Southeast Asian region are major rice-producing "hubs," so stabilizing the supply chain of agrochemical products and improving technology are crucial for ensuring food production. China can produce over 600 types of agrochemicals with a complete production chain from raw materials to intermediates and additives, with more than 2,200 legally operating production plants; including over 600 raw material production plants. Regular exchange and cooperation on agrochemical products and technologies have promoted the agricultural development of both China and Vietnam.

"In this return visit, AgroChemEx Vietnam 2024 will bring advanced, efficient, and safe products and solutions in agriculture for producers and businesses in Vietnam. Moreover, it will be an effective destination and an important channel for promoting trade for the sustainable development of Vietnam's agriculture. Especially, the exhibition will feature companies from China, and India, focusing on introducing scientific and technological achievements, new chemical products, agricultural machinery, and updating management information in the field of pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals", Mr Guo Wei affirmed.

Within the framework of AgroChemEx Vietnam 2024, various activities and seminar programs will take place, covering useful topics where industry experts from the Plant Protection Department and relevant Vietnamese associations will share specialized knowledge, update trends, and present the latest agricultural technology solutions both domestically and internationally.

Furthermore, the trade connection program will facilitate the exchange of experiences between exhibitors and visitors through topics such as technology innovation driving sustainable agriculture, modern management techniques in rice, corn, and mango cultivation, and sharing applications of highly effective agricultural additives.

AgroChemEx Vietnam 2024 has attracted nearly 100 companies from renowned brands both domestically and internationally, exhibiting in a space of 1500 square meters. Prominent participants include large enterprises from China, the United States, India, Vietnam, and more. The exhibition is expected to welcome over 2,500 visitors, promising to foster numerous business connections and cooperative relationships between manufacturers, distributors, and importers worldwide.

According to Mr Le Van Thiet, the exhibition also serves as a bridge for organizations, individuals, and businesses operating in the fields of fertilizers, plant protection products, agricultural machinery, and chemicals, both domestically and internationally, to meet, exchange experiences, seek business opportunities, and attract investment into the Vietnamese market. Additionally, it provides opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to find partners and expand their market to countries in the region and internationally.
