Adapt to weather, improve productivity

Currently, the weather has many changes in temperature and humidity, causing many shrimp farmers in some northern localities such as Nam Dinh and Hai Phong to face diseases such as white feces and, white spots, red body.

Analyzing this issue, Mr. Kim Van Tieu, former deputy director of the National Center for Agricultural Extension, said: "The climate is erratic, shrimp farming is very unpredictable. Due to the large temperature range of day and night, shrimp are easily shocked, have reduced resistance, and are easily attacked by bacteria, leading to infection.

The authorities have made some recommendations on farming techniques for shrimp farmers in the above situation. Specifically, such as raising water in the pond, maintained on average at 1.5 - 1.8m, complete fan to neutralize the temperature in the pond, especially when it is sunny, it is necessary to have a grid system to prevent temperature impact on ponds.

In addition to technical solutions, Mr. Kim Van Tieu recommended shrimp farmers use biotech products according to the instructions to manage the water environment and increase resistance to help shrimp fight diseases. The product that this seafood expert mentioned is the Mother Water biological product of Bo De Seafood Corporation.

"Mother Water probiotics have particular instructions for use. This product can be used for bottom improvement and water treatment before and during culture. Besides, this product can also mix with food to help shrimp increase resistance," said Kim Van Tieu.

In addition to disease resistance, this probiotic also significantly improved the productivity of shrimp flocks. When using probiotics, leftover food, hummus, residue, and waste can be decomposed, reducing the impact on the environment in production.

According to Mr. Kim Van Tieu, Mother Water products can be used for all current forms of shrimp farming, such as extensive, improved extensive, semi-intensive, or intensive farming. Using probiotics in shrimp farming is a recent trend because it helps shrimp stay healthy, increases productivity, ensures food hygiene and safety, and improves and protects the farming environment.

Easy to use, reduce labor

Mr. Vu Ngoc Thuan, Con Xanh area, Nghia Hung district (Nam Dinh province) said that his family had used Mother Water probiotics on 1.7 hectares of water surface area in the past two years white-leg shrimp were raised.

"Previously, this product was not available in Nam Dinh province. We had to go to Thanh Hoa province to buy it," said Mr. Thuan, adding that after the first year of use, he could harvest 2 tons of shrimp in one crop on a pond of 2,000m2.

Evaluating the products of Bo De Fisheries Group, this farmer said that the most remarkable thing is that it is easy to use and can be used for many stages in shrimp farming.

To increase the coverage of Mother Water, many breed suppliers in the North have cooperated with Bo De Fisheries Group, not only to introduce but also to guide and provide technical support to farmers.

Mr. Bui Van Hao, Representative of the Northern region of Phuoc Loc Aquaculture Breed Company, said: "As the person in charge of the shrimp breed market from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ninh province when bringing breed products to farmers, I also combined the introduction of Mother Water probiotics."

Specifically, Mr. Bui Van Dung's family in Dong Hung commune, Tien Lang district (Hai Phong) has 10,000m2 of water surface, divided into four ponds that have used products of Bo De through the introduction of Phuoc Loc.

According to Mr. Dung, the water quality before shrimp stocking is significantly improved when using Mother Water, and the color and indicators are much better than before. In addition, the percentage of shrimp fingerlings obtained after one month of initial culture also increased compared to when not using this product.

Mother Water products are evaluated by farmers, cooperatives applying the extensive farming model, and high-tech shrimp farming cooperatives as suitable for the environmental conditions of the shrimp-rice area, helping to stabilize the environment in farming. Shrimp, especially the alkalinity factor, pH, helps increase shrimp health and reduce the rate of damage.
