On October 25, during the sixth working day of the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly, held at the National Assembly Building in Hanoi, the Assembly reviewed and decided on several personnel matters.
Accordingly, the National Assembly heard reports, conducted a vote, and adopted a Resolution approving the Prime Minister’s proposal on the appointment of several Ministers for the 2021-2026 term, including the appointment of Mr. Tran Duc Thang as Minister of Agriculture and Environment.
The electronic voting results showed that 427 deputies participated in the vote (accounting for 90.08% of the total number of National Assembly deputies); all 427 deputies voted in favor (equivalent to 90.08% of the total number of deputies and 100% of those present).

After the National Assembly’s approval, Mr. Tran Duc Thang was officially confirmed by the 15th National Assembly as Minister of Agriculture and Environment for the 2021-2026 term.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is a government body responsible for state management in the fields of agriculture; forestry; salt production; fisheries; irrigation; disaster prevention and control; rural development; land; water and mineral resources; geology; environment; meteorology and hydrology; climate change; surveying and mapping; integrated management of marine and island resources and environmental protection; remote sensing; and state management of public services within the ministry’s areas of authority.
