During the two days of national mourning, the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, prepares for delegations to pay respects, sign the condolence book, and lay wreaths at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in the capital, Vientiane.

  At exactly 7:00 AM, the delegation of the Party Committee in Laos, the Embassy, and adjacent agencies paid their respects.
 
  At 7:10 AM, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation, led by Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet, paid their tribute to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
 
  Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet signed the condolence book. Mr. Do Hung Viet is serving as the Head of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations - SOM ASEAN Vietnam. He is attending the 57th SOM ASEAN Conference and related meetings in Laos from July 21 to 27.
 
  At 7:30 AM, members of the Political Bureau, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, Saleumxay Kommasith, led the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation to pay their respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is highly respected and deeply remembered by delegations of the Central Committee of the Lao Party, led by the Standing Member of the Secretariat and Vice President; The National Assembly delegation of Laos, led by the Vice President of the National Assembly; delegations from party-state organizations; the Central Front for National Construction of Laos; the Central Veterans Association of Laos; and mass organizations, led by the Party Secretaries of each ministry and sector.
