On May 10-15, 2021, Loc Troi Group conducted soil sampling in areas of the Vietnam Tropical Fruit Quality Improvement project funded by the Dutch government.
This activity is part of a memorandum of understanding framework signed in April 2021 between Loc Troi Group Joint Stock Company and Eurofins Sac Ky Hai Dang Co., Ltd.
The project is a core activity under the framework of cooperation between Vietnam and the Netherlands to help increase the value of Vietnamese agricultural products through knowledge exchanges and technological application in cultivation.
It focuses on four provinces with fruit planting strengths of Long An and Binh Thuan (dragon fruit), Dong Thap (mango), and Ben Tre (grapefruit).
After signing the agreement, the two sides conducted soil sampling in Long An.
The farmer households participating in the project are carefully selected under the Vietnam Farmers Union (VNFU) evaluation, the Medical Committee Netherlands-Vietnam (MCNV), local authorities, and Loc Troi Group.
The project is supported by scientific research units such as Southern Fruits Institute (SOFRI), University of Agriculture and Forestry in Ho Chi Minh City...Accordingly, engineers working on the projects in fruit areas of Loc Troi Group have taken 120 samples of land in four provinces of Ben Tre, Binh Thuan, Dong Thap, and Long An to send to the Netherlands for quality inspection.
The soil samples were taken from the orchards of 100 farming households associated with Loc Troi Group. Soil sampling was carried out following the processing technical standards, ensuring the project’s requirement of time, location, and methods in soil sampling.
The project is targeted to establish fruit-growing models and attract about 500 farmer households to participate in the models with modern processes and technology training introduced and conducted by the project itself.

Along with supporting the project, Loc Troi's engineers also provided soil samples for Eurofins Sac Ky Hai Dang as part of a cooperation agreement between the two parties in researching, analyzing and perfecting the soil nutrient NIRs technology.
Eurofins is a research and testing unit specializing in food, environment and consumer goods, providing certification, analyzing soil nutrient composition, soil structure, and soil water retention. Thereby, it will make recommendations to support the optimization of fertilizing and irrigating processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and boost crop quality.
The cooperation agreement between Loc Troi and Eurofins Sac Ky Hai Dang aims to bring the soil nutrient analysis NIRs technology to Loc Troi's operations in Vietnam.
Signing Memorandum of Understanding between Loc Troi Group and Eurofins.
In the coming time, Loc Troi will select typical cooperatives to cooperate and associate with the group to apply lNIRs and fertilizing technology according to the recommendations discussed and agreed between the experts of the two sides.
The introduction and application of NIRs technology in soil nutrient analysis into the production process is one of Loc Troi Group’s steps to become a leading agricultural corporation in Vietnam when applying technological achievements. and scientific research of Vietnam and the world into the production and business activities of the Group.
