Presenting a paper at a workshop on improving media communication capacity regarding carbon neutrality, held in Cua Lo Ward, Nghe An Province, on October 15, 2025, Mr. Tran Trung My, Quality Assurance Director of TH Milk Food Joint Stock Company, emphasized that the TH Group was founded by Labor Hero Thai Huong, a woman who constantly reflects on true happiness, human health, and the balance of nature. Her enduring philosophy is: “Cherish Mother Nature, who will give us everything.”
From the beginning, TH set out a distinct vision and mission: placing the enterprise’s interests within the broader national interest, prioritizing community health, and focusing not on maximizing profit but on “rationalizing benefits.”

TH started with a “clean fresh milk revolution,” applying high technology to supply pure, safe, and nutritious fresh milk. It later expanded into a range of natural products, such as herbal beverages, purified water, nut milks, and school milk programs, all tied to the philosophy of “From green pastures to a glass of clean milk.”
Throughout its development, TH has built a sustainable development strategy based on six core pillars: Nutrition - Health; Environment; People; Education; Community; and Animal Welfare. This integrated value system allows TH to implement the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while rigorously adhering to international GRI standards.
Notably, TH is the only Vietnamese enterprise with a dedicated Animal Welfare pillar, reflecting its high level of commitment to humaneness and social responsibility. This ensures optimal living conditions, care, housing, and nutrition for the dairy herd, guided by the “five noes” principle.
At COP26, the Vietnamese Government committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. In alignment with this national goal, the TH Group proactively implemented a carbon neutrality strategy (THCB), which is not only a necessary step but also a competitive advantage in the emerging green economy.
Among the six Vietnamese enterprises that have obtained PAS 2060:2014 carbon neutrality certification, two belong to the TH Group: TH Joint Stock Milk Company (operator of the TH clean fresh milk processing plant) and Nui Tien Purified Water Co., Ltd. (operator of the Nui Tien purified water, herbal, and fruit juice plant).
TH follows a systematic three-step approach in its carbon neutrality process: first, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory, identifying, measuring, and calculating all emission sources; second, Emissions Reduction, through energy transition, technology optimization, energy conservation, and renewable-energy deployment; and third, Offsetting Remaining Emissions, using carbon credits from internationally audited projects that deliver environmental and social value.

The Circular Economy (CE) model is the foundation enabling TH to reduce emissions across its production chain. The group synchronously applies advanced solutions such as solid-waste treatment in livestock farming, water-manure separation technology, and modern wastewater treatment systems to maximize resource reuse.
As a result, TH has reduced methane (CH₄), a gas dozens of times more potent than CO₂ in contributing to the greenhouse effect, by up to 70%.
In parallel, shifting from fossil fuels to biomass (wood chips, sawdust) in boiler operations, together with rooftop solar power systems, has significantly reduced emissions. In 2023, TH’s milk-plant system reduced total GHG emissions by 62% compared to 2022, while generating more than 15 million kWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to cutting 10,000 tons of CO₂.
TH also takes the lead in cutting plastic waste through practical initiatives: reducing shrink-wrap size, thinning label materials, and adopting more eco-friendly packaging. Each year, the enterprise reduces more than 600 tons of plastic and continues the “Used Carton Collection - Spreading the Green Lifestyle” program in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, a recycling model that shifts consumer behavior.
According to Mr. Tran Trung My, alongside green development, TH maintains a strong focus on investment in people, education, and community welfare. Major social programs such as “For Mother and Baby - For Vietnam’s Stature,” “School Milk,” “S-Race,” “Red Sail,” and “A Wish for Children” have widely disseminated the values of compassion and social responsibility. Hundreds of millions of glasses of fresh milk, tens of billions of VND in scholarships, and hundreds of public-welfare projects have been donated nationwide.

In human-resource development, TH uses the SAP SuccessFactors management system, promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and transparency. Talent is nurtured through E-learning and the international-standard TH School, an institution designed to cultivate knowledge and global perspectives.
All these efforts converge into a single overarching value: sustainable development that harmonizes economic, social, and environmental objectives, moving steadily toward net-zero emissions.
From the green pastures of Nghia Dan to the clean glass of milk on the table, TH not only tells the story of a Vietnamese milk brand but also affirms Vietnam’s stature and intellect on the global sustainable-development map, where nature is cherished, people are respected, and the future is safeguarded.
