Live pork prices

Live pork prices today, August 29, in the Northern market, are stable in most provinces compared to yesterday. In comparison with last weekend, the prices have decreased by VND 1,000-3,000 per kilogram.

Specifically, the highest live pork price is VND 56,000 per kilogram in Hung Yen province, after a VND 1,000 decrease.

Likewise, with a VND 1,000 decrease, the live pork price in Ha Noi City and Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Bac Giang provinces is VND 54,000-55,000 per kilogram.

In Lao Cai province, the live pork price is the lowest of VND 54,000 per kilogram, after a VND 2,000 decrease compared to last weekend.

With the highest decrease of VND 3,000, the live pork price in Tuyen Quang is the lowest of VND 53,000 per kilogram.

The remaining provinces have no change this week.

In North Central Coast and Central Highlands, live pork prices today keep moving sideways compared to yesterday and compared to last weekend.

The live pork price is the highest as VND 55,000 per kilogram in Thua Thien Hue, Quang Ngai, Ninh Thuan provinces.

The lowest live pork price is VND 50,000 per kilogram in Binh Dinh province.

In Khanh Hoa province, the live pork price is VND 53,000, the same in Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Lam Dong, Dak Lak and Binh Thuan provinces.

The live pork price keeps at VND 54,000 per kilogram in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh provinces.

Hoai An District, Binh Dinh Province, is the largest pig farming area in the Central region. A trader specializing in purchasing live porks to supply Da Nang market in An Duc commune, Hoai An district, said that Da Nang city implemented social distancing to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, leading live pork consumption in Hoai An district has suddenly been miserable.

In the South, live pork prices today keep the country's lowest level and fluctuate deeply this week. There is a place that the live pork price decreased by VND 5,000 per kilogram.

The lowest live pork price is VND 51,000 per kilogram in Dong Thap and Hau Giang provinces, the same in Dong Nai province.

Meanwhile, the highest price is VND 54,000 per kilogram in Kien Giang province, after a VND 1,000 increase compared to last weekend.

Traders in Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Soc Trang provinces and Ho Chi Minh City purchase live pork with the price of VND 52,000.

White shrimp prices

According to the Directorate of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first 6 months of 2021, total brackish water shrimp production reached 371 thousand tonnes, up 12% over the same period in 2020. In which black tiger shrimp production reached 113 thousand tonnes, and white shrimp reached 258 thousand tonnes.

In Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh and Ca Mau provinces, white shrimp prices today, August 29, are stable in most types compared to yesterday.

Specifically, 20 head-sized white shrimp prices are VND 200,000-220,000 per kilogram.

25 head-sized white shrimp prices are VND 157,000-162,000 per kilogram.

30 head-sized white shrimp prices are VND 124,000-126,000 per kilogram.

40 head-sized white shrimp prices are VND 105,000-108,000 per kilogram.

50 head-sized white shrimp prices are VND 89,000-91,000 per kilogram.

60 head-sized white shrimp prices are VND 84,500-85,500 per kilogram.

70 head-sized white shrimp prices are VND 82,500-83,500 per kilogram.

Pangasius prices

In Dong Thap, An Giang, Can Tho and Hau Giang provinces, pangasius prices today, August 29, are VND 21,000-22,000 per kilogram, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Prices for 30-35 head-sized pangasius breeds are VND 25,000-30,000 per kilogram, increasing by VND 7,000-10,000 compared to last month.

According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), since the COVID-19 epidemic broke out quickly in Ho Chi Minh City and spread to the Mekong Delta, fish farming and transporting raw materials to factories and processing plants have faced many difficulties. These factors affect pangasius prices in the near future.

Snakehead prices

In Dong Thap, An Giang, and Tra Vinh provinces, snakehead prices today, August 29, are VND 44,000-45,000 per kilogram, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Prices for 500-700 head-sized snakehead breeds are VND 200-300 per head, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Red tilapia prices

In Dong Thap, An Giang, Vinh Long and Hau Giang provinces, red tilapia prices today, August 29, are VND 35,000-36,000 per kilogram, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Prices for 30-40 head-sized red tilapia breeds are VND 22,000-23,000 per kilogram, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Bronze featherback prices

In Dong Thap, An Giang, Vinh Long and Hau Giang provinces, bronze featherback prices today, August 29, are VND 45,000-46,000 per kilogram.

Prices for 200 head-sized bronze featherback breeds are VND 1,600 per head, unchanged compared to yesterday.
