The live pig market in the North continues its slight increase compared to yesterday.

Accordingly, pig prices in Thai Nguyen and Hanoi increased by VND 1,000, trading at VND 70,000/kg.

With the same increase, traders in Vinh Phuc bought pigs at VND 69,000/kg.

Pig prices in other regions remained unchanged compared to yesterday.

Thus, live pig prices in the North on February 6, 2025, are trading between VND 68,000 and VND 70,000/kg.

The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands has slightly increased compared to yesterday.

Specifically, pig prices in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An both increased by VND 1,000, reaching VND 69,000/kg.

With the same increase, traders in Binh Dinh and Binh Thuan traded at VND 68,000 and VND 71,000/kg respectively.

Pig prices in other areas remained unchanged.

Thus, live pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands on February 6, 2025, are traded around VND 67,000 - VND 71,000/kg.

Pig prices in other areas remained unchanged.

Thus, live pig prices in the South on February 6, 2025, are traded in the range of VND 69,000 - VND 72,000/kg.

New African Swine Fever outbreak in Ca Mau

On February 5, an African Swine Fever outbreak was reported in Tran Van Thoi district, Ca Mau province, at a farm in Block 3, Tran Van Thoi town, with a total of over 33 pigs. Currently, 19 pigs have been destroyed by the veterinary force and local authorities.

The Livestock and Veterinary Department of Ca Mau province, in coordination with local authorities, is monitoring the disease situation to take timely measures.

At the same time, they are carrying out prevention work, containing the outbreak, and advising people not to dispose of dead pigs in the environment or sell infected pigs.
