Illegal tiger breeding case raised the alarm about the status of wildlife protection.
Early in the morning of August 4, Environment Police Office of Nghe An Provincial Police Department in collaboration with related agencies cracked down on an illegal tiger breeding facility in Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.
At that time, dozens of police officers were deployed simultaneously; thereby quickly raided on a tiger breeding facility in a local house.
Initially, authorities seized 15 adult tigers.
The case is now under investigation and clarification.
Three days earlier, Nghe An Provincial Police Department caught two people living in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province while they were transporting seven tiger cubs for consumption.
