The business delegation was led by Mr. Gabor Fluit, Global CEO of De Heus Group, accompanied by Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group, and representatives from other corporations.
Minister Tran Duc Thang extended his sincere appreciation to the leaders of the three corporations for taking the time to meet with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
He expressed deep appreciation for the outstanding achievements of the partnership between De Heus and Hung Nhon in recent years. This is a model of agricultural value chain linkage and a testament to the strategic partnership between Viet Nam and the Netherlands.
The two agricultural groups have successfully implemented modern livestock projects, strengthened disease control, developed raw material areas, and targeted the Halal market, demonstrating strategic vision and commendable execution capacity.
The Minister especially encouraged the corporations to make greater efforts to bring livestock products to export markets soon. He emphasized that with more exportable livestock products, Viet Nam would be well-positioned to achieve its goal of reaching 100 billion USD in agricultural export value by 2030.
Minister Tran Duc Thang also highly valued the presence and commitment of Heineken Viet Nam, a pioneer in water resource and environmental protection. Initiatives such as Clean Water for Communities and the project that returned nearly 700 million liters of water to the Tien River basin were highlighted as concrete examples of a commitment to sustainable development, contributing to promoting green economy thinking and corporate social responsibility.
The Minister acknowledged and appreciated the initiatives, proposals, and serious long-term investment commitments of the international corporations, especially De Heus in Viet Nam.
He affirmed that the Ministry would always accompany both domestic and foreign enterprises, creating the most favorable conditions through mechanisms, policies, and administrative procedures to ensure effective project implementation and contribute to Viet Nam’s goal of developing a green, sustainable, and low-emission agriculture.
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed investment and development plans for the 2025-2030 period, focusing on sustainable agricultural value chains, processing industries, and exports, with an emphasis on high-tech applications and building disease-free raw material zones. The De Heus-Hung Nhon presented plans to develop DHN high-tech livestock zones in the Northern region, Central Highlands, and Southeastern region, aiming to establish a closed agricultural value chain from breeding and farming to processing and export.

In Tay Ninh province, on October 20, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut held a working session with De Heus Royal Group and Hung Nhon Group on a high-tech agricultural project chain for the 2025-2030 period, with a total investment of over VND 10 trillion.
The project aims to build a closed, high-tech agricultural ecosystem covering all stages, from raw material zones and breeding to livestock production and processing, and to export. Once completed, the project chain is expected to contribute around USD 2 billion to the De Heus - Hung Nhon joint venture by 2030, positioning Tay Ninh as a leading high-tech agricultural hub in Southeast Asia.
A key highlight of the investment chain is Tay Ninh’s first high-tech poultry slaughtering and processing plant, with a capacity of 52 million birds per year (equivalent to 132,000 tons of products annually). The production line, fully imported from Europe, meets Halal, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 standards, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
