UAN supplies are very tight and could get more problematic down the road.

Josh Linville with StoneX Group says phosphate costs have been a concern. “The phosphate market started out high and it’s just gradually gotten a little bit higher as we go through the spring season. Unfortunately, people like to point fingers around North America but really this is a global issue.”

He tells Brownfield there’s some uncertainty in the potash market. “There’s a lot of trepidation as far what the tariffs will not be. We’ve seen those prices up by about 25%.”

And, Linville says nitrogen has been on a rollercoaster this year. “We’re on an upswing right now. Anhydrous just kind of is what anhydrous is. Its price continues to fly up a little bit as demand continues to walk in the door, but UAN is the biggest worry point that we have.”

He says UAN supplies are very tight and could get more problematic down the road.
