The Global Coffee Platform (GCP) has published a key resource for the coffee sector in preparing for EUDR implementation.

This document guides EUDR and its implications within the coffee sector from the angle of (coffee) data exchange challenges and opportunities. This paper serves as a helpful resource, providing a detailed overview and practical guidance on data sharing and digitization aspects as GCP Members and the wider coffee sector continues to prepare for EUDR compliance. The checklist included in the annex is particularly valuable as a tool to assess readiness for EUDR compliance from a data sharing angle.

This guidance was commissioned by GCP and developed by the SINE Foundation, a non-profit organization specializing in supporting global organizations to identify, initiate and maintain use cases for data collaboration within complex multi-stakeholder environments.

GCP is supporting EUDR preparedness through its work with the Country Platforms in e.g. Vietnam, Uganda, Kenya and Indonesia. This paper provides input to a broader discussion and assessment by the GCP Board to determine GCP’s additional role(s) in the broader context of upcoming regulations, including CS3D.
