The Hanoi Biotechnology High-Tech Zone covers an area of 199 hectares in the wards of Tay Tuu, Lien Mac, Minh Khai, Thuy Phuong, and Co Nhue 2 in Bac Tu Liem District. It will operate in line with global high-tech development trends and Vietnam's high-tech development policies, with a focus on biotechnology.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has tasked the Hanoi People's Committee with coordinating with the Ministry of Science and Technology to establish operational regulations for the Hanoi Biotechnology High-Tech Zone to submit to the Prime Minister for approval.
Additionally, they are to implement the planning, appraisal, and approval of the construction plan, as well as determine the boundaries and locations of the Hanoi Biotechnology High-Tech Zone, ensuring compliance with the established planning, positioning, and scale. A streamlined and efficient management unit under the Hanoi People's Committee will be established to fulfil the role of the management board for the biotechnology high-tech zone.
