Previously, on June 27, Don Duong Police received a report from Nguyen Tien Dat, 31, a resident of Lac Truong hamlet, Tu Tra commune, Don Duong district. It is said that the herd of 27 dairy cows in his farm, which was all healthy without any disease detected, had died due to sudden convulsive while the herds of another farming facility, which were served the same rations, were completely in good health conditions.
After receiving the report, the People's Procuracy of Don Duong district discussed with the Don Duong district police to request the Sub-Department Animal Health of Lam Dong province and the Agriculture Center of Don Duong district to join the scene to check and confirm evidence, collect traces to clarify the cause.
At the scene, the competent authorities took samples of water and food from the troughs on the farm and collected samples of gastric juice from dead cows for examination and collection of traces for investigation.
Because the cause of death has not been determined, the authorities asked the farm owner to commit not to slaughter the above cattle and annihilate those carcasses following the law.
