Dong Thap mobilizes sponsor for the conservation of sarus crane

(VAN) The People’s Committee of Dong Thap Province has issued the 2026 Mobilization Plan for the conservation of Sarus Crane at Tram Chim National Park.

The People’s Committee of Dong Thap Province is calling for the support and participation of businesses, organizations, and individuals both domestically and internationally to join hands in actions for a goal of great significance to biodiversity—restoring the natural wetland ecosystem of Tram Chim. In particular, the focus is on restoring habitats and conserving and developing the Eastern Sarus Crane—a rare and symbolic bird species of Tram Chim National Park.

The People’s Committee of Dong Thap Province has requested agencies, units, and localities to actively mobilize, receive, and use various forms of sponsorship effectively and practically, in order to widely promote to organizations and individuals inside and outside the country the importance of the Project on Conservation and Development of the Sarus Crane at Tram Chim National Park (2022–2032) and the wetland ecosystem. This will encourage participation, support, and cooperation with the provincial government and the local community in implementing the Project.

The People’s Committee of Dong Thap has assigned Tram Chim National Park to take the lead, in coordination with provincial departments, agencies, and relevant units, in effectively organizing the mobilization of sponsorship for the Project.
