Coffee prices on November 26 globally

Globally, both the London and New York exchanges saw simultaneous increases on November 26.

On the London exchange, Robusta prices for January 2025 delivery rose by $ 125 (equivalent to 2.51%), reaching $ 5,110/ton. Meanwhile, the March 2025 delivery contract surged by $ 113 (equivalent to 2.3%), standing at $ 5,036/ton.

On the New York exchange, Arabica prices for March 2025 delivery increased by 2.7 cents (equivalent to 0.89%), reaching 304.80 cents/lb. The May 2025 delivery contract also rose by 2.65 cents (equivalent to 0.88%), settling at 302.25 cents/lb.

Global coffee prices continued their upward trend today, pushing Robusta prices to their highest level in many years, surpassing $ 5,000/ton. Concerns over global geopolitical tensions have led speculators to shift capital to commodity exchanges.

On the supply-demand front, unfavourable weather in Vietnam and Brazil is raising concerns about production output, driving significant price increases for this agricultural product. Additionally, ongoing military conflicts worldwide have heightened transportation costs and other expenses related to exports.

Thus, global coffee prices on November 26, 2024, have continued their upward trend compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices on November 26 domestically

Domestically, coffee prices today increased by as much as VND 2,000 compared to yesterday.

Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha are trading at the same price of VND 120,800/kg.

In Dak Lak province, Cu M'gar district is purchasing at VND 122,000/kg today. Meanwhile, Ea H'leo and Buon Ho districts also trade at VND 122,000/kg.

In Dak Nong province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap are transacting at VND 122,000/kg and VND 121,900/kg, respectively.

In Gia Lai province, Chu Prong district is trading at VND 121,900/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai are both maintaining a price of VND 121,800/kg.

In Kon Tum province, the purchase price for coffee today stands at VND 121,800/kg.

Domestic coffee prices today continue their strong upward trend, pushing this agricultural product to the high mark of VND 122,000/kg.

In the first 15 days of November 2024, Vietnam exported only 20,933 tons of coffee, generating export revenue of over $ 121.79 million. This represents a 44.8% decrease in volume but a 1.8% increase in value compared to the same period last year.

Thus, domestic coffee prices on November 26, 2024, are trading around the range of VND 120,800 - 122,000/kg.
