Coffee prices on September 16 globally

Globally, both the London and New York exchanges remain stable on September 16.

The price of Robusta on the London exchange for November 2024 delivery remains at $ 5,267/ton, while the January 2025 contract is steady at $ 4,998/ton.

Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, Arabica for December 2024 delivery continues trading at 259.45 cents/lb, with the March 2025 contract standing at 256.60 cents/lb.

Global coffee prices remained unchanged today. Over the past week, the global coffee market saw a strong increase, with Robusta prices for November contracts rising by $ 497/ton, and Arabica prices for December contracts surging by 23.45 cents/lb.

According to data released by Cecafé, Brazil's coffee exports reached a record 31.9 million bags in the first eight months of 2024, up 39.2% from the same period in 2023.

In terms of types, green coffee exports rose by 43.5%, reaching 29.26 million bags. Arabica exports increased by 25.7% to 23.1 million bags, while Robusta exports surged by 212.2%, reaching 6.1 million bags. Meanwhile, processed coffee exports saw a modest 4% increase, totalling 2.6 million bags.

Regarding markets, Brazil's coffee exports to the US and Germany skyrocketed by 30.1% and 69.1%, respectively. Exports to Belgium grew by an impressive 122.2%, reaching 2.9 million bags, while shipments to Italy rose by 51.4%, nearly hitting 2.6 million bags. Notably, coffee exports to Mexico surged by 261.5%.

Thus, global coffee prices on 09/16/2024 remained stable compared to the previous day.

Coffee prices on September 16 domestically

In the domestic market, coffee prices also held steady.

In Lam Dong province, Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts are all trading at VND 123,500/kg.

In Dak Lak, Cu M'gar district is purchasing coffee at VND 124,000/kg, while Ea H'leo and Buon Ho are trading at VND 123,900/kg.

In Dak Nong, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap are trading at VND 124,000/kg.

In Gia Lai, Chu Prong district is trading at VND 123,900/kg, with Pleiku and La Grai districts maintaining prices at VND 123,800/kg.

In Kon Tum, coffee is being purchased at VND 123,900/kg.

Domestic coffee prices today remain stable, with the highest level at VND 124,000/kg. Over the past week, the domestic coffee market has risen by VND 6,000.

Thus, on 09/16/2024, domestic coffee prices are trading around VND 123,500 - 124,000/kg.
