In the world market

Coffee prices today, July 20, are back down due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic again.

At the end of the latest trading session, the price of Robusta coffee in London delivered in September 2021 decreases by US$ 35 per ton at US$1,732 per ton, the price delivered in November 2021 decreases by US$ 23 per ton at US$ 1,733 per ton.

Meanwhile, the price of Arabica coffee delivered in September 2021 falls Cent 4.95 per pound at Cent 156.4 per pound. It delivered in December 2021 falls Cent 4.75 per pound at Cent 159.35 per pound.

At the end of the first session this week, Arabica coffee's price fell by 3.7%, Robusta coffee's price fell by 1.98%.

The world coffee market is gloomy due to the return of the Covid-19 epidemic. This confuses financial speculators. Stocks fell sharply, but in contrast to that, the DXY index rose to the highest level in the past three months, causing coffee prices to fall deeply.

In the domestic market

In the domestic market, coffee prices today decrease by VND 500 per kilogram in key areas compared to yesterday morning, at the range of VND 34,900-35,800 per kilogram.

Specifically, coffee in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province today is purchased at VND 34,900 per kilogram.

In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, the coffee price today keeps at VND 35,800 per kilogram. In Ea H'leo and Buon Ho districts, Dak Lak province, the coffee prices are currently at the same VND 35,700 per kilogram.

In Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap districts, Dak Nong province, coffee today is purchased at VND 35,700 and VND 35,600 per kilogram, respectively.

Coffee price today in Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province, is at VND 35,700 per kilogram. The prices in Pleiku and La Grai are the same levels at VND 35,600 per kilogram. In Kon Tum province, it is purchased at VND 35,700 per kilogram.

Currently,  the coffee's selling volume is not large due to the end of the harvesting crop. According to experts, Robusta coffee's price still tends to up, but not significantly.
