Chanh Thu expands export reach with DuriVy frozen durian

(VAN) The year 2025 continues to mark a significant footprint for Chanh Thu Fruit Import-Export Group Joint Stock Company (Chanh Thu Group) in the international market.

"In just the first 10 months of the year, Chanh Thu's export turnover increased by approximately 20% compared to the same period in 2024, with tens of thousands of tons of fresh and frozen fruit shipped to over 20 countries and territories," said Ngo Tuong Vy, General Director of Chanh Thu Group.

The United States, China, and Australia remain key destinations, reaffirming Chanh Thu's position as one of Vietnam's leading fruit exporters.

According to Vy, the company's factory system located in Ben Tre, Dak Lak, Nha Trang, Tien Giang, and Dong Nai is currently operating at full capacity. The system boasts a supply capability of up to 300,000 tons of products annually, meeting the strict requirements of high-end markets.

Discussing the strategy to elevate the value of Vietnamese fruit, Vy stated that Chanh Thu is actively promoting a special product: DuriVy whole frozen durian. This premium product line has achieved the 5-star National OCOP standard (recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on July 4, 2024).

The preservation process utilizes liquid nitrogen freezing technology at -196 degrees Celsius. This allows the durian to freeze rapidly, retaining its full nutritional value, color, and natural flavor.

Chanh Thu is targeting the United States and China as key export markets for this product, with plans to further expand into South Korea and Europe.

Currently, DuriVy whole frozen durian meets FSSC 22000, FDA, HALAL, and HACCP standards, ensuring food safety and clear origin traceability.

Beyond DuriVy durian, Chanh Thu possesses a diverse portfolio including Hoa Loc mangoes, rambutan, jackfruit, avocado, and dragon fruit, available in both fresh and frozen forms for export.

Looking beyond exports, Chanh Thu aims to develop the domestic market during the 2025–2026 period, particularly in Hanoi and major urban centers where consumers are increasingly concerned with high-quality, internationally standard products with clear traceability.

Participating in the exhibition, Chanh Thu conveyed the message: "Vietnamese Fruit - International Quality, Reaching Far with Technology and Standards."

At the exhibition booth, fresh whole DuriVy and Dona durian products attracted special attention from visitors and domestic and international partners alike.

General Director Ngo Tuong Vy shared: "Participating in the exhibition is an opportunity for Chanh Thu to affirm its pioneering role in technological innovation and enhancing the value of Vietnamese fruit. We aim not only to increase exports but also to deliver international-standard products directly to Vietnamese consumers."

In the near future, Chanh Thu Group plans to continue investing in expanding standard raw material areas, applying advanced post-harvest technologies, developing additional premium product lines, and promoting digital transformation and sustainable agricultural branding to help elevate Vietnamese fruit on the global map.

Vietnam's durian exports have seen massive growth, reaching USD 3.3 billion in 2024 and hitting a record USD 972 million in September 2025 alone. China is the primary market, accounting for the vast majority of exports. The industry has experienced challenges due to stricter quality control measures, particularly regarding pesticide residue, but is now showing strong signs of recovery and aiming for a total export value of over USD 3.5 billion for 2025.
