In the world market, coffee prices today, August 20, turn to decrease in two large exchanges.

After the latest session, the Robusta coffee futures price in ICE Futures Europe (London) exchange for September 2021 contracts is down by US$ 18 per ton at US$ 1,843 per ton and down by US$ 14 per ton at US$ 1,863 per ton for November 2021 contracts.

Likewise, the Arabica coffee futures price in ICE Futures US (New York) for September 2021 contracts is down by Cent 1.5 per pound at Cent 178.2 per pound and up by Cent 1.55 per pound at Cent 181.3 per pound for December 2021 contracts.

According to the General Department of Customs, coffee exports in the first half of August 2021 reached 47,138 tonnes. As a result, the coffee export of the first 7.5 months in 2021 is 1,012,876 tonnes, down 7.94% over the same period last year.

In the domestic market, coffee prices today, August 20, are down by VND 300 in most key provinces compared to yesterday morning, in the range of VND 37,000-37,900 per kilogram.

Specifically, coffee prices today in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province is VND 37,000 per kilogram, a VND 300 decrease.

In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are VND 37,800-37,900 per kilogram, a VND 300 decrease.

In Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, coffee is purchased at VND 37,700-37,800 per kilogram, a VND 300 decrease.

In the world market, pepper prices today, August 20, at Kochi exchange (India), keep unchanged compared to the latest session, at INR 41,300 per quintal.

In the domestic market, pepper prices keep stable in key provinces, ranging from VND 76,500-79,500 per kilogram.

Specifically, the pepper price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is at VND 77,500 per kilogram.

In Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces, the pepper price is VND 76,500 per kilogram.

The pepper price in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province keeps at the highest of VND 79,500, followed by the price at Binh Phuoc at VND 78,500 per kilogram.

According to the General Department of Customs, pepper exports in the first half of August 2021 reached 8,449 tonnes of pepper, with a total turnover of US$ 31.56 million. As a result, exports in the first 7.5 months in 2021 reached 188,659 tonnes, down by 2.20% in volume but up by 47.99% in value over the same period last year.

Rubber prices

In the world market, rubber prices decrease in exchanges compared to the latest session.

In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts is down by JPY 2.5 at JPY 214.5 per kilogram, down by JPY 2.2 at JPY 216.1 per kilogram for September 2021 contracts, and down by JPY 2.8 at JPY 219.5 per kilogram for October 2021 contracts.

In Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts is CNY 13,430 per ton, but down by CNY 295 at CNY 13,430 per ton for September 2021 contracts, and down by CNY 305 at CNY 13,510 per ton for October 2021 contracts.

In the domestic, rubber prices are stable compared to yesterday.

Fresh rubber latex prices in Binh Phuoc province range from VND 310-315 per TSC-DRC.

Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company, Binh Phuoc province, publishes the fresh rubber latex price at VND 325 per TSC-DRC.

In Dak Lak province, the rubber latex price is VND 16,000-18,000 per kilogram, depending on the type.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, until August 12, Mekong Delta provinces harvested 780,000 hectares of summer-autumn rice with a productivity of about 5.8 tonnes per hectare and a total production of about 4.524 million tonnes.

The summer-autumn crop’s harvesting time would reach its peak within this month and finish in the middle of next month.

The implementation of a social distancing order under the Prime Minister’s Directive 16 in 19 southern localities has caused difficulties to Vietnam’s rice production, consumption, processing and exports.

In An Giang province, rice prices today, August 20, keep stable compared to yesterday, excluding the fresh OM 18 paddy.

Specifically, the sticky paddy price is VND 4,200-4,400 per kilogram.

The OM 5451 paddy price is VND 5,000-5,200 per kilogram.

The fresh OM 18 paddy price is VND 5,500-5,800 VND per kilogram, a sudden VND 200 decrease after rosing VND 100 per kilogram.

The fresh IR 50404 paddy price is VND 4,500-4,700 VND per kilogram.

The fresh OM 9582 paddy price is VND 4,800-4,900 per kilogram.

The fresh OM 6976 paddy price is VND 5,100-5,300 per kilogram.

The fresh Japanese paddy price is VND 7,500-7,600 per kilogram.

The fresh 8 fragrant paddy is VND 5,700-5,800 per kilogram.
