AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025: A commitment to sustainable collaboration with Vietnamese agriculture

AGRITECHNICA ASIA, the premier exhibition for crop production in Asia, made a remarkable debut in Vietnam, drawing more than 10.500 visitors from across the country. With an exhibition area covering up to 10.000 m², this event marked the first time that AGRITECHNICA ASIA and HortEx Vietnam, two of the leading exhibitions in the region focusing on professional agriculture and horticulture, were held concurrently. The event featured participation from numerous national pavilions, including Germany, Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, the Netherlands and the Philippines, among others.

The AGRITECHNICA ASIA exhibition, along with HortEx Vietnam 2025, are the first international events in Vietnam to be co-organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Envinronment. "We highly appreciate the efforts of the German Agricultural Society (DLG) for organizing AGRITECHNICA ASIA every two years in Vietnam.

The exhibition serves as a vital opportunity to drive innovation in the agricultural sector, connecting manufacturers and farmers and encouraging the application of modern mechanization in agricultural production.

It is also a great opportunity to push forward innovations that will contribute to the green, modern, and sustainable development of agriculture in Vietnam", Mr. Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment highlighted.

In addition to the exhibition, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment organized several specialized seminars focused on mechanization in agriculture. 

The German Agricultural Society (DLG) highlighted the essential role of the Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper in connecting and communicating throughout the entire process of planning and organizing the exhibition. After more than a year of partnership as the primary media sponsor for DLG, the Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper successfully coordinated two press conferences to announce the AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 Exhibition in February 2025.

In addition, the Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper was actively involved in disseminating information about innovative solutions, creative technologies, and new products presented at the exhibition. The newspaper’s efforts were well-received by its readers, who appreciated the in-depth coverage and insights shared.

This year, the newspaper the newspaper facilitated the participation of 400 farmers and cooperatives from the Southeastern region of Vietnam, along with 100 students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry. These groups were given the opportunity to visit the exhibition, explore the latest agricultural machinery, and learn about cutting-edge technologies in the agricultural field.

During the exhibition, the Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper and the German Agricultural Society (DLG) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), further strengthening their strategic partnership. This agreement marks a significant milestone in the two organizations’ ongoing efforts to enhance the capacity and sustainable development of Vietnam’s agricultural sector.

The signing of the MoU was prominently featured in the DLG’s newsletter, which is distributed to over 31.000 members and partners across the globe.

With the theme "Green Innovation", the AGRITECHNICA ASIA exhibition focused on sustainable farming practices, smart agriculture, and advanced technologies designed to combat climate change, ensure food security, and manage resources effectively. The exhibition provided agricultural experts and visitors with valuable insights into emerging technologies such as smart farming, precision agriculture, automation, and digital farm management systems.

At the event, leading agricultural companies like AGCO, CLAAS, FIMAKS, Lovol, XAG, and Pöttinger showcased their advanced solutions to meet the needs of Vietnam's agriculture industry, particularly in sectors such as rice cultivation, fruit farming, industrial crops, and agricultural mechanization.

Mr. Chuck Shi, CEO of Lovol Southeast Asia, shared his thoughts on the event: "This exhibition has fully met our expectations in terms of business opportunities. The demand for mechanization and sustainable practices in Vietnam aligns perfectly with the solutions we offer".

The AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 Exhibition brought together 125 speakers from international organizations such as the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Vietnam, who participated in 20 seminars covering topics like smart agriculture, mechanization and sustainable agricultural development. These sessions provided attendees with practical knowledge and solutions that can be directly applied to agricultural practice.

Additionally, the German Agricultural Society (DLG) shared that the AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam and HortEx Vietnam exhibitions are expected to return to Ho Chi Minh City in March 2027
