On the afternoon of March 12, as part of the AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 exhibition, the Agriculture and Nature Newspaper (VAN) and the German Agricultural Society (DLG) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking the advancement of their strategic partnership. This event signifies a new milestone in the journey to enhance the capacity and ensure the sustainable development of Vietnam's agricultural industry.

The cooperation outlined in the MOU will focus on key sectors, with an emphasis on the exchange of knowledge and technology between both nations. The two sides have agreed to facilitate collaboration by organizing delegations that will work together to share expertise and innovations. Additionally, the MOU also identifies and honors individuals or organizations from both countries who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of agriculture in Vietnam and Germany.

Furthermore, this agreement will create favorable conditions for German agricultural companies, particularly those in the agricultural machinery sector, to explore and expand their presence in the Vietnamese market. It will also foster collaboration in advancing scientific research, technology, smart farming equipment, and sustainable agricultural practices.

Starting from the "AGRITECHNICA Asia Live 2022" event, the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper (now the Agriculture and Nature Newspaper) has shown special interest and followed the journey of DLG. Since 2022, the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper has been the exclusive media partner of DLG in Vietnam.

After more than a year of collaboration as the leading media sponsor of DLG, the Agriculture and Nature Newspaper successfully co-organized two press conferences to announce the AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 exhibition in February 2025.

At the same time, the newspaper actively conveyed information, innovative solutions, and developments from the exhibition, which were well-received by readers. At this year’s exhibition, the newspaper coordinated to bring 500 farmers and cooperatives from the Southeast region to the event to learn about agricultural machinery and technology.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach, Editor-in-Chief of the Agriculture and Nature Newspaper, expressed his happiness at being the first media agency to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with DLG. "The Agriculture and Nature Newspaper has a long history of 80 years of development and has successfully organized many important events such as: the International Vietnam Rice Industry Festival; the Global Food Conference Agritechnica 2024, 2025; Vietstock Exhibition; Vietfish International Seafood Exhibition; the ASEAN Forum on Disaster Resilience (ADRP); and the US Women Farmers Dialogue...

Through this MOU, we are committed to expanding information and connections with the 31.000 members of the Association, thus contributing to the realization of green development goals in Vietnam", said Mr. Thach.

In addition, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ngoc Thach expressed hope that the MOU would open up many opportunities for collaboration and the organization of events between Thailand and Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Do Anh Tuan, Director of the International Cooperation Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), shared that the Memorandum of Understanding signed at the "AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025: Green Innovation" exhibition will serve as a bridge to strengthen the connection between the agricultural sectors of Germany and Vietnam. Given that the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has recently become operational, this cooperation plays an important role in achieving the dual goal of advancing agricultural development while ensuring environmental protection.

He emphasized, “The MOU provides a valuable opportunity for German enterprises to transfer advanced technologies to Vietnam, thus fostering the transformation of the country's food systems towards a greener and more sustainable future. Through this cooperation, I hope that the Agriculture and Nature Newspaper will expand its collaboration with German partners even further. In doing so, it will be able to spread innovative initiatives and technological solutions that enable farmers to implement environmentally friendly practices more effectively".
