Adaptive capacity of Integration standard businesses

(VAN) With peanuts being the familiar main material, Dinh Gia Foods has captivated a bunch of customers with new sort of peanut milk which is manufactured with a mixed formula to boost nutrition.

Dinh Gia Foods in Binh Thuy district, Can Tho city has conquered the market and been nominated by consumers to win the title of business with high-quality Vietnamese products from 2019 to now thanks to a series of “break the rule” products such as multi-color durian peanut, multi-colored yogurt peanut, honey gac peanut, chilly garlic peanut, chocolate peanut, and other products.

In 2019, Dinh Gia Foods got the accreditation of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods - Integration Standard and Halal Standard at the same time. Mr. Dinh Cong Minh Thong, Director of Dinh Gia Food Production - Trading Company Limited, is overjoyed with the certifications as they mark the successful investment in a processing area in accordance with HACCP standards ( Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point), the selection of local ingredients (all kinds of beans, gac, honey, durian, garlic, chili…) according to the appropriate recipe… The firm considers it an opportunity with several aspects to expand including the one to access the markets of Muslim nations.

Covid-19 epidemic staggered everything and the luckiness was blown away. However, the lessons from the integration standard have pushed Dinh Gia Food to strengthen its capacities in adapting and surviving.

Post social distancing, Dinh Gia Food releases some more innovative items. Mr. Thong mentioned that when the supply chain broke, he sought and updated information on consumption patterns. As a consequence, he can grasp the trend and target investment to overcome the biggest hurdles and return to the usual pace.

Currently, Dinh Gia Food's production capacity is around 5 tons per month, while it has not recovered as previously, the goods targeted towards nutritional and health demands have been anticipated.

The most challenging issue in processing goods from grains is that the source of agricultural raw materials is usually unsynchronized and difficult to trace; But thankfully, owing to the tendency of sustainable agricultural production, Dinh Gia Food saw more reliable sources of supplies. Although it is extremely laborious and not straightforward, it is the diversification of raw material sources connected with advocacy to assist growers realize their role is truly an important link ... has taken Dinh Gia Food to a smooth production stage.

Dinh Gia Foods makes the most of social networks (Facebook, Tiktok, Youtube...) to promote photos, offer online sales, and study and exploit raw materials from indigenous fruit trees and process them into goods with diverse flavors to join the e-commerce platform. Consistently applying standardization in all aspects, progressively using digital technology is a technique to develop flexibility, survive adversity, and overcome problems. The results demonstrate that the investment of billions to renovate the factory (500m2), choose and equip specialized machinery to create several product lines from seeds, in accordance with the quality commitment, not only food safety and cleanliness but also fulfill different requirements.

“Dinh Gia Food uses pandan leaves, butterfly pea flowers, reserved durian, garlic, chili, gac, yogurt… as healthy natural ingredients, to make numerous goods with mixing recipe, which brings about several diverse tastes, bringing customers more nutrition and unboring taste," added Thong. That is the outcome reported at the Green - Kind Fair presented by BSA Center in Ho Chi Minh City lately.

"The goal to introduce items to convenience stores, specialized stores, recuperating tourism places or events... is still supported by customers”, Mr. Thong stated.

However, he still anticipates a larger facility, a more professional manufacturing process; equipped with various automation devices. Thong confessed: "What I have not been able to achieve and my biggest wish today is to soon have a standard material growing area, which is appropriate to closed the production and export chain".
