97,000 tons of sugar imported under TRQs successfully bid

(VAN) The bidding for 108,000 tons of sugar imported under the tariff rate quotas (TRQs) in 2021 was just opened on September 29th. Five enterprises have won the bid for 97,000 tons.

On the morning of September 29th, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held an auction for the right to use tariff rate quotas to import 108,000 tons of sugar in 2021, including 76,000 tons of raw sugar and 32,000 tons of refined sugar.

As a result, five enterprises won the bid for 97,000 tons of the mentioned quota volume. In particular, all 76,000 tons of raw sugar was successfully bid, while in the case of refined sugar the winning amount was 21,000 tons.

The three enterprises which won the raw sugar import quota are Thanh Thanh Cong (36,000 tons), Quang Ngai Sugar (20,000 tons) and VietSugar (20,000 tons).

The two enterprises which won the refined sugar import quota are Ben Tre Import-Export (20,000 tons) and Cau Tre Foods (1,000 tons).
