Leading the group of Vietnamese agricultural products is vegetables and fruits. Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports in 2023 reached USD 5.6 billion, an increase of 66.7% compared to 2022 thanks to a sharp increase in exports to China, EU, and Korea markets.

The export turnover of fruits accounted for the largest proportion of the total fruit and vegetable export turnover in 2022. In particular, durian export has replaced dragon fruit to occupy the first position with a proportion of 55.4 % of total fruit export value, reaching USD 2.24 billion, an increase of 430% compared to 2022. Dragon fruit ranked second, accounting for 15.2% by value (halved compared to the proportion of 31.3% of 2022), reaching USD 614 million, down 3.8%. In addition to bananas, which only increased slightly (up 1.3%), other fruit products such as jackfruit, mango, passion fruit, pistachios... generally had a high export increase, about 34-44% compared to 2022.

In 2023, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports to most major markets increased compared to 2022, especially the Chinese market. In addition, exports to Korea, Germany, and Canada also increase sharply.

Regarding rice products, in 2023, the country's rice export turnover reached 8.13 million tons, worth USD 4.7 billion, an increase of 14.4% in volume and 35.3% in turnover compared to 2022.

Asia continues to be the largest export market in 2023, reaching 6.1 million tons, accounting for 75% of total exports, an increase of 22.8% compared to 2022; Next is Africa with export results reaching nearly 1.34 million tons, accounting for 16.5% of total rice exports, an increase of nearly 7.2%.

Vietnam's cashew exports in 2023 reached 644 thousand tons, worth USD 3.64 billion, an increase of 24% in volume and an increase of 18.1% in value compared to 2022. The average export price of cashew nuts of Vietnam reached USD 5,657 per ton, down 4.7% compared to 2022.

Notably, in 2023, Vietnam's cashew nut exports to all major markets increased compared to 2022. In particular, the amount of cashew nuts exported increased sharply to markets: UAE (up 72.3% ); China (up 49.8%); Saudi Arabia (up 46.3%); UK (up 24.1%).

In 2023, the United States was Vietnam's largest cashew import market, accounting for 24.6% of the country's total cashew exports, at 158.5 thousand tons, worth USD 886 million, an increase of 10.3% in volume and an increase of 5.1% in export turnover compared to 2022. Ranked second is China, accounting for 17.5% of the country's total cashew exports, reaching 113 thousand tons, worth reaching USD 683 million, an increase of 49.8% in volume and 55.2% in export value compared to 2022.
