On October 11, in Hanoi, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) and STP Group held a cooperation signing ceremony.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hai Binh, General Director of STP Group, said the group has accompanied governments, businesses, and fishing households in 28 coastal provinces to develop aquaculture and seafood. In recent years, the group has continuously researched and developed new products that are optimal for the practices of each farming region, such as HDPE round cages, HDPE square cage clusters, HDPE rectangular cage clusters, assembled HDPE cages, HDPE infrastructure buoy cages, HDPE block cages...
Up to now, infrastructure products for aquaculture under the STP Group brand have been present in more than 20 provinces and cities across the country, serving a variety of hydroelectric lake fish farming, closed bay farming, near-shore farming, and offshore marine farming. On the path to realizing a green future for Vietnam's seafood industry, the group has embarked on cooperation to implement ESG projects with the expectation of contributing to improving the marine environment and changing the face of marine farming in local coastal areas.
In the cooperation program with Vietnam National University of Agriculture ('VNUA'), the two sides agreed to actively contribute to changing the face of Vietnam's fisheries industry, Cooperate in joint ventures and partnerships in building and implementing programs, projects, and research projects at home and abroad related to the green material HDPE in aquaculture; Cooperate in implementing tests and projects using HDPE products to serve infrastructure water supply, drainage, and aquaculture at sea.

In addition, the two sides will promote cooperation in training and human resource development, focusing on training, transferring documents and techniques... on issues related to design and installation and using and operating HDPE cages in aquaculture; HDPE products serve infrastructure, water supply, and drainage. At the same time, the group will create conditions for students of the Vietnam National University of Agriculture to participate in training activities and receive practice and internships. In addition, the two sides will work together to promote and introduce science and technology products through exhibitions, seminars, media, publications...
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, the President of the Vietnam National University of Agriculture, shared that VNUA is a unit with a long tradition of human resource training, research, and transfer in agriculture. The university has a team of highly qualified, specialized, and professional staff, lecturers, and scientists, well-trained in many countries worldwide, with extensive experience in successfully implementing many projects, essential topics related to Vietnam's agricultural sector, and cooperation with international organizations.
In its development orientation, the school always focuses on building cooperation chains with the participation of state management agencies, research units, and businesses. From there, it creates favorable conditions to put research results into widespread application in practice through the capacity of businesses, serving the development of the fisheries and the agricultural sectors.

On that basis, the school's cooperation program with STP Group will be implemented with specific actions, annual reviews will be held, lessons learned, and detailed action plans will be developed for the following years.
Participating in the cooperation signing ceremony of the two units, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien noted that currently high-quality human resources in the field of agriculture in general and fisheries in particular are still lacking. Therefore, the coordination and companionship between schools and businesses is a direction that promises to bring breakthroughs in human resource training, research, and new advances into production.
However, to do this, both units must be genuinely responsible for the contents they have committed to; Take full advantage of your strengths with specific actions to build increasingly stronger cooperation. From there, together we can actively contribute to the development of sustainable agriculture, reduce emissions, and increase added value.
