Accordingly, the Cai Be fruit park is built on an area of 9.5ha on alluvial land along Tien River in Cai Be town, Cai Be district with an investment worth nearly VND300 billion extracted from the provincial budget. The project includes the main work items of leveling the entire area, building an operating house, a nursery, a parking area, roads, a Southern fruit symbol, and an artistic lighting system.

The locality also called for investment in socializing the construction of other works such as restaurants serving Southern and Mekong Delta ethnic dishes, high-standard hotels, outdoor stages, kiosks for sales of souvenirs and products from Southern gardens, the swimming pools, squares, and exhibition centers. Tien Giang province has the largest area of fruit in the Mekong Delta with about 82,000ha of specialty ones. The fruit park project with its economic and cultural value is aimed to develop tourism, promote and arouse the local garden economic value of Tien Giang in particular, and the Mekong Delta in general.
The project expects to be completed and put into operation in 2025, to serve tourism activities in the linkage between Cai Be floating market, Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village, and other river eco-tourism sites in Tien Giang and Vinh Long provinces. At the same time, the fruit park is also a place to preserve, provide seedlings, purchase and sell local specialty fruits, serving the tourism needs in local areas.
