Vinh Phuc invested VND 7.4 billion in digital transformation

(VAN) Vinh Phuc People's Council and People's Committee agreed on 6 digital transformation projects and categories in agriculture with over VND 7.4 billion.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vinh Phuc province, this is to support bringing some agricultural products to e-commerce platforms; deploying a traceability platform for agricultural products; and building a point model for synchronously applying digital technology in production. By 2024, the agricultural sector of Vinh Phuc province has built 6 digital transformation lists, projects, and tasks; and has been approved by the People's Council and People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province with a total budget of more than VND 7.4 billion.

Accordingly, the agricultural sector of Vinh Phuc province has assigned specific tasks to its affiliated units to implement, including: building a forest monitoring system to serve digital transformation in forestry; providing information, propaganda, training and dissemination of knowledge about digital transformation in the field of agriculture and rural development; build a model for synchronous application of digital technology in the production of vegetables and fruits, which are key products, serving sightseeing, studying, training, and exchanging experiences for people and businesses; deploying digitalization of water supply maps at water supply works; build agricultural cooperative model applying smart agriculture...

The above tasks will contribute to bringing the number of agricultural cooperatives with e-commerce activities and smart agricultural applications to 18%, and maintain the rate of agricultural production households using e-commerce at 20%...

Recently, Vinh Phuc province also announced its planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. According to the general planning of Vinh Phuc province, the agricultural sector of Vinh Phuc province is determined to develop agricultural production towards applying high technology, with safe and organic production, producing high-value products along the value chain and circularity along with building modern and civilized new rural areas. Focus on developing large, high-quality commodity farming areas associated with deep processing, enhance the value of agricultural products, focus on investing in post-harvest technology, and build brands for agricultural products typical of regions and localities.
