According to the General Department of Customs, in the first half of December 2023, Vietnamese enterprises in the cashew industry exported nearly 31 thousand tons of cashew nuts, amounting to a value of 168 million USD. This brought the total volume of cashew nuts exported from January 1 to December 15, 2023, to 612 thousand tons.
This achievement marks a historic moment for Vietnam's cashew industry as it is the first time that cashew nut exports have exceeded the 600 thousand tons threshold.
In terms of revenue, cashew exports from January 1 to December 15, 2023, reached 3.467 billion USD. If the cashew export value remains consistent in the second half of December 2023 as in the first half, the total cashew export turnover for 2023 is poised to exceed 3.6 billion USD.
