On the morning of October 3, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Poultry Association (VIPA) coordinated with the Department of Livestock Production and the National Agricultural Extension Center to hold a press conference introducing the 2023 Vietnam Golden Livestock Product Award 3rd edition voting program ('Vietstock 2023').

The program has left a deep impression on the Vietnamese livestock industry community through two award seasons of "Vietnam Livestock Golden Products" held in 2016 and 2018 in Hanoi. The award has promoted the goal of developing Vietnam's livestock industry in a sustainable direction while standing side by side, cheering and accompanying businesses, units, farm owners, livestock households... with the support of creativity and breakthroughs in your field.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Chairman of VIPA, said that livestock farming is an economic sector that makes an important contribution to the country's socio-economic development. Over the past 10 years, Vietnam's livestock industry has achieved relatively high growth, an average of 5-6%/year.
In 2010-2022, the output of all types of meat increased 1.7 times, poultry eggs increased 2.7 times, fresh milk increased 4 times, and industrial animal feed increased more than 2 times. Meat, egg, and milk output not only meets the needs of nearly 100 million people in the country but is also initially exported officially to the world market.
However, besides the impressive achievements, the livestock industry faces many great difficulties and challenges in the context of our country's deep international integration.
Faced with these difficulties and challenges, the entire industry's efforts are needed to overcome the storms, and there is even more need for a title to cheer, encourage, encourage, and motivate mentally, especially for the students. Enterprises and farmer households are trying their best to produce the best livestock products, supplying the domestic market and gradually moving towards the international market.
With the consent of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, VIPA coordinated with the Department of Livestock and the National Agricultural Extension Center to organize the Voting and Awarding Program for the "Vietnam Golden Livestock Product" Award, the third time in 2023.
Mr. Son said the program aims to continue recognizing and honoring groups and individuals with typical and excellent products, achieving high technical, economic, social, and environmental results, and making important contributions to Vietnam's livestock industry.
Honoring products that win the "Vietnam Livestock Golden Product" Award is a way to show society's appreciation and encouragement for groups and individuals with many merits and contributions to the world with the development of Vietnam's livestock industry.

Mrs. Tran Thi Thu Hien, Director of the Vietnam Poultry Development and Consulting Center under VIPA, said that the third "Vietnam Livestock Golden Product" Award in 2023 will honor products related to the chain. Values in the livestock field include breeds, animal feed, veterinary drugs, vaccines, biological products, products processed from meat, eggs, and milk, environmental treatment products in livestock farming, livestock farming, processing, and slaughtering equipment.
Deputy Director of the Department of Livestock Pham Kim Dang assessed: "VIPA's award is a significant initiative in the difficult context of the agricultural sector in general and livestock in particular. The Department of Livestock Production acknowledges the contributions of the Association in recent times, which have had very positive impacts on production, especially on State management agencies and policy planners related to livestock production to approach change and bring the livestock industry to sustainable development."
Mr. Pham Kim Dang said that in the first 9 months of 2023, all fields of agriculture will grow, with livestock growing the best. This is a signal showing the livestock industry's contribution, contributing more than 26.7% of the value of the agricultural sector. Therefore, promoting livestock development to continue maintaining this important role is essential.
"In this Award, I am very passionate about encouraging and promoting to build an image, thereby promoting the sustainable development of the livestock industry. Three critical criteria are improving economic efficiency, ensuring the environment, and social responsibility. These are three important pillars in sustainable livestock development and any industry. Hopefully, this Award will be successful and will be continued in the following years", Deputy Director of the Department of Livestock Pham Kim Dang emphasized.
