Vietnamese meat and meat products are exported to 18 markets. Of which, the largest export was to the Hong Kong market with 935 tons, worth $ 5.75 million, an increase of 28.4% in volume and an increase of 25.9% in value compared to the same period last year. The Hong Kong market accounts for 50.03% in volume and 61.28% in value of Vietnam's total export of meat and meat products.

The average export price reached $ 5,865/ton, down 6.8% compared to December 2023, but up 10.1% compared to January 2023. Pork - fresh chilled or frozen, is exported to Hong Kong, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia and Laos markets.
In the opposite direction, in January 2024, Vietnam imported more than 62 thousand tons of meat and meat products, valued at nearly $ 128 million, up 76.2% in volume and 72% in value compared to the same period last year.
Vietnam imports meat and meat products from 37 markets around the world. In particular, India is the largest market supplying meat and meat products to Vietnam, accounting for 29.53% of the country's total imported meat and meat products.
Specifically, imports of meat and meat products from India reached more than 18 thousand tons, worth more than $ 55 million, an increase of 184.9% in volume and an increase of 190.7% in value compared to January 2023.
